Jebel Toubkal is one of the highest mountains in North Africa, and also one of the most accessible. There are no permits or fees required to climb and the mountain is opened year round.  For optimal conditions it is best to avoid climbing during the summer months because temperatures can be too extreme. Many people have climbed the mountain within two or three days. It is 4,167 meters high.
