This formidable region contains the world’s second highest mountain, K2, as well as the greatest concentration of high mountains on the planet.

The current political climate here is a bit difficult to say the least. Once things improve, trekkers will return in large numbers. From the air the jagged glacier-clad peaks seem to go on forever.
