Listed under Mountains in Salzburg Province, Austria.
Austria's highest mountain, the Grossglockner, is one of the most beautiful in the Alps. Its great shining pyramid of ice and rock towers majestically over a vast glacier, Austria's largest. The glacier can be accessed from the popular viewpoint known as Franz Joseph Hohe, which in turn can be reached via the scenic Grossglockner alpine highway, a toll road.
