Carstensz Pyramid (Puncak Jaya)

Listed under Mountains in Indonesia.

The highest mountain of Australasia is 4884m or 16,024ft high. The lowest of the continental highpoints, it is the steepest one. A high rock in the middle of the Papua jungle, adventure guaranteed.

Carstensz Pyramid can be climbed all year round, biggest challenge is getting to the mountain, as politics and permits systems change often. Technical rockclimbing experience is needed.
