Great Mosque of Xi'an

Listed under Mosques in Xi'an, China.

As the largest and best preserved early mosque in China, the Xi'an mosque is beautifully crafted in a mixture of traditional Chinese architecture and Islamic art dating back to the 1300s.  The original mosque that stood in the same location is thought to have been built as early as the 7th century. The splendid thing about this destination is it is the only one in China that welcomes visitors on a regular basis.
