Panama's Presidential Palace

Is it called the ‘Palace of the cranes’ because its such a white and graceful building decorated in a Moorish style complete with ornate fountains? No, it’s a far more practical reason, the President’s palace is stalked by herons. Not the most traditional of guards the whole street is mor formally guarded by police, so expect to have your backpack searched.
The palace is in the heart of the now touritsy area of cobbled streets, plazas with fountains and original Spanish architecture. It's possible to arrange a tour of the palace.

Can anyone help me get a tour of the Palacio de Las Garzas for April 17th?
My sister returned from Panama recently and just told me that she missed out on a tour of the Presidential Palace because it needed to be booked in advance.
I understand this is very short notice but we are going to be in Panama City April 17th and hope to reserve a tour of the Presidential Palace for that day.
