Known for the lighthouse that overlooks the coast below, Nugget Point is surrounded by clusters of rocks that jut upwards from the sea. The lighthouse has been in use since the late 19th century and has a special place in the hearts of the Otago community. The marine life off Nugget Point, including seals and penguins, adds to the site’s reputation as a place of great natural beauty.
