According to the legends this mountain was where the Devil tempted Jesus by laying the whole world out below him in return for his allegiance and though in reality you can still only see from Barceloneta Beach to the foot of the mountains it’s still a pretty spectacular view. On top of the mountain today you may not find the Devil but you will find an old, but still fully functioning, amusement park and a catholic church, the temple de Sagrat Cor, which is modelled on Paris’s Sacre Coeur

You can mount the mountain via funicular railway and get even better views from the top of one of the funfair’s rides.

How tall is the cathedral/church on tibidabo? - The one called Sagrat Cor?

Just a wonder for my son's project!

All the fun for everyone!

We went as a family to Barcelona, during the kids October Break. The day we went to Tibidabo in 2009 was a holiday, so all the rides were open. There's fun for everyone - whatever you wish to do. The funfair is great, the cathedral is interesting and the view is breathtaking. Even the journey and travelling their is great. On a clear day you can see for miles. The whole family enjoyed the trip and no wonder we've been here everytime we've visited Barcelona. - (That's 6 times)

I hope this revies helped you!

Hi Caroline - Thanks very much for your review - the photos of it are very impressive. Sorry I can't help you with the height though.

How big is mount tibidabo

512 meters tall.

The Tram, Tibidabo

“Clang, clang, clang went the trolley…” sang Judy Garland in the classic old movie “Meet Me in St Louis”. St Louis and Mount Tibidabo might be a long way apart, but the Tibidabo tram is gloriously quaint and could well have fallen straight out of 1950s America. What’s more, it’ll save you from the steep walk up the hill to the cable car, and that’s enough to make anybody sing.
