Built in the 17th century by two brothers, both in the monastic sense and the biblical sense.  They came from a wealthy family and converted to the Orthodox faith, upgrading their local church in the process.  Byzantine, with three domes, and two domed chapels, this monastery also has Ionic and Corinthian columns for good measure, as well as a bell tower and an external chapel.  There's an inscription in Greek and Latin over the main entrance.

It's located 15.5kms from Chania near Kourmares.
