One of the most unique selling points mentioned on the Angkor Night Market website is the offer of a ‘fish massage’ where tiny fish basically peck off your dead skin…but there are also stalls selling market staples like souvenirs, clothes and jewellery and random electrical items. Night markets aren’t a traditional thing here, the locals have borrowed the idea to keep visitors entertained at night so this is a pretty touristy experience, but it’s organised and clean and has a bar and a cinema so has some definite appeal. The food section is more sanitised than it would be at a traditional market, which can be a good or bad thing depending on what kind of traveller you are. The prices are a bit higher than in the old market but the quality is a bit like the sanitation and some people may prefer to pay a little extra.

They do have wifi though – which could be a very very useful thing to mention.

Open from about 4pm to midnight.
