Bingo. It's not just for the older folks these days as the popularity of various London bingo nights will attest. It's not your standard London travel fare, but it's certainly something fun to do in town that will bring you in touch with the local community.

Several UK celebs have spoken of their love of the game, and bingo halls across the country are reporting an impressive rise in numbers. And the beautiful Tooting Bingo Hall has a glamorous history all of its own, so you're not just visiting any old community centre.

As home to one of the first cinemas in the city to have its own 20-piece orchestra, the hall was once also a prominent music venue, playing host to the Rolling Stones,The Beatles and Frank Sinatra, among others; definitely a suitable building to play a game of bingo in style!

If you can’t make it to Tooting during your visit, there’s no reason why you can’t recreate the experience at home. There are plenty of bingo sites, and playing bingo online with Ladbrokes is definitely a great way to enjoy a quiet night in, and possibly even win a few prizes into the bargain.
