Sitting like a jewel in the middle of Yale University’s New Haven campus is the Beinecke Rare Book & Manuscript Library.
A strange, rectangular building with a honeycomb-like pattern, it now houses over 500,000 volumes and millions of manuscripts. The Beinecke is also the host of many traveling exhibitions. Both illuminating and intimidating, the Beinecke is an impressive testament to American higher education.
