If you're going to learn Italian, or brush up on your linguistic skills, Italy is obviously the best place to do it. And if you can combine classes with a stay somewhere scenic, maybe with a slightly monastic feel to it, then you might have a better chance of getting the most out of your lessons. Santo Stefano in La Marche, overlooking the Adriatic, used to be a monastery and has been converted into something a bit more luxurious, and here, with the help of a native speaking 'professore', you can have morning Italian lessons.

If you go for the whole Santo Stefano seven day package it includes home made meals and lessons for no more than eight students. There are sights to see in this region, some local ruins, a vineyard and a medieval walled town.

Learn Italian in luxury

This must be one of the most relaxing ways to learn Italian. Stay in a beautiful country house, located in the hills of Le Marche. Each day begins with a delicious Italian breakfast to get you in the mood for a teaching session on the terrace. With an Italian teacher and an assistant to help, you can’t help but make progress. Cooking lessons are part of the course too, so it’s a week long total immersion !

In the afternoon you are encouraged to explore the picturesque rolling hills and medieval towns of Le Marche and practice your linguistic skills. The course is designed to improve spoken Italian, allowing the students to communicate in day-to-day situations and to enjoy the beauty and tranquillity of the Italian countryside. Relax, participate and learn.
