Lake Onneto is a small but extraordinarily pretty lake located at the foot of the active Me-Akan volcano in the central part of Japan's northern island Hokkaido. The lake is fed by hot springs that can be reached via a short walk. You can bathe in the natural outdoor hot pools or even take a natural hot shower beneath a steaming waterfall. Deer and foxes are commonly seen in the sylvan forest that surrounds the lake and hot springs.
