The Symi Festival, which lasts from July to September, is one of the island's biggest attractions. Started in 1995, the festival is a free open-air concert that is frequented by some of Greece's best musicians. The island has a population of only 2,500 people and is not a tourist hot-spot. Expect a very friendly and laid-back experience as the island has a secluded and exclusive feel to it.

Visitors stay in renovated Symian houses. This is a small island with great heart - somewhere really special.
