Skyros is an island with two distinct halves. The northern half of the island is lush and fertile while the southern half is barren. Skyros is not much of a beach island as most beaches are located on only one side of the island and are increasingly difficult to find and get to. In town you will find cobble stone streets and classic style houses. With a population of just over 3,000 Skyros offers its visitors a getaway from bigger Greek attractions.
