Even people who live in New York think of Manhattan as ‘the city’, as it's the focal point for much of New York’s financial, political, commerce and arts scenes. It also has the great symbols of New York, the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building and Central Park.

Manhattan is easy to get around on foot due to the iconic numbered street grid of twelve avenues intersected by more than 150 cross streets running east to west. Divided from the rest of New York by the Hudson River to the west and the East River to the east, Manhattan is one of the world's most cosmopolitan places incorporating everything a big city has to offer, a variety of theatre, museums and art galleries, shopping, restaurants and famous landmarks. Priced accordingly.
