Sheila my wife and I went to the Isle of Wight not on holiday but working ,I had never thought of going to this place but so glad I went.

The countryside is so lovely and the houses and cottages are very nice with thatched roofs on many, all of course in a very nice location,in fact we couldn't see any location on the island that wasn't nice to look at.

We only spent the day but on our travels we went to some very nice villages with very nice shops and pubs with lovely places to eat out .

We passed craft shops, museums, theatres, zoos ,model villages and the usual parks and beauty spots for taking your family pictures and if you like steam then you can take a steam engine ride through the lovely countryside ,if you prefer water you can take a trip down the river in a steam powered boat.

All this in a couple of hours, so we will plan to return for a break in the Isle of Wight to see the full programme of entertainment .
