This seahorse shaped Galapagos Island is one of the few with any amenities, and though they are basic there is accommodation and even a restaurant as well as the long ribbons of fine bleached sand, blach, cracked volcanic terrain, volcano rising spectacularly and rich diversity of flora and fauna visitors come to the Galapagos for. The best way to see the island in on foot on the trails leading through the lush vegetation on the windward side of the volcano and along the coastline. If you’re after wildlife, the penguins, iguanas, giant tortoises, flamingos and boobies should appease, if not head off shore and snorkel with seals, sea turtles and marine iguanas.
