The Todos Santos Inn is a real gem. If you ever needed an excuse to visit this much talked about but still authentic Baja town then this is it. The Inn's quality accommodations are full of period charm and comfortable elegance that serve as a luxurious base for excursions into the area's desert landscapes and Pacific beaches. It's an ideal escape from the commercialized Capes and even a few days will leave you with a taste of the real Mexico.

Romantics will love the hotels new suites, lavishly decorated and very tranquil accommodations, each with a private terrace. The standard rooms have also been furnished with a care and attention to detail that is rarely found in larger establishments. A small swimming pool has also been added recently, and there is also a cozy new wine bar.

Room rates include continental breakfast, but no other meals are served. This isn't a problem though, as the small town is home to a surprisingly good range of restaurants including the Cafe Santa Fe (probably the best Italian eatery in southern Baja and another good excuse for a visit.) The Cafe Todos Santos, just across the road from the hotel, also serves delicious deli-style sandwiches, pastries and great coffee. To start your evening, the Inn's own Wine Bar is one of the prettiest places to visit and has a serious selection of vintages.

Whether you're planning a few days' excursion from the major resorts or a full exploration of the peninsula, this is a great place to stop. Even if you're just in search of a peaceful location to read a good book (or maybe write one!), you'll find the Todos Santos Inn is the perfect retreat.
