Lying between the coastal towns of Bembridge and Sea View, The Priory Bay Hotel is home to a collection of histories, witnessing the times belonging to the medieval monks right the way through to the Georgian gentry. A Virginia Creeper climbs its four walls which house a selection of individual rooms looking out across the garden and sea. You have the option of staying in one of the Tithe Barns which date back to the eleventh century. Each barn has one double room en-suite and a bunk room for extra guests. The Coach House and Cluniac Cottage offer the chance of a cosy, self catering experience all equipped with a television and DVD player for the colder nights. The hotel’s three restaurants give you the option to sample the delights of a Regency dining room as well as Mediterranean style Bay terrace which is covered by a network of orange, lemon and fig trees. In summer look out over the balcony and watch the annual midsummer opera. Walk across the 70 acres of woodlands, gardens, tennis courts and private beach and go power boating on the choppy sea. If bracing seas seem a little too much the hotel also offers a range of holistic treatments.
