Hemmingways The bar at Hemmingways has long been held as somewhere where tall tales of battles at sea are regaled. Set on a beautiful stretch of beach just at the northern tip of Watamu, the hotel became famous for its namesake and his love of big game fishing. Today, the hotel has expanded with it popularity and is made up of 174 rooms all with air-conditioning and views to the bay beyond. The best times to go for the fishing range from November through to Feb.
