Hemingway is a wonderfully rustic hotel located on a beach of cool white sand that stretches as far as the eye can see. The water here is incredibly clear making it a superb location for swimming and snorkeling. This simple hotel is a true getaway; perfect for those who yearn for rest and relaxation. With some rooms directly on the beach and others just a little way behind you are never far from the tempting waters of the Caribbean.
The rooms themselves are individual cabanas that are simply but tastefully furnished using natural local materials and decorated using the traditional Mexican palette of bright colors. The tree-trunk bed stands are a lovely touch that serves to remind you of the hotel's ecological theme. All rooms have a bathroom with toilet and large walk-in shower. The hotel also has a small beachfront restaurant and lounge area and there is a good range of beach furniture from hammocks to swinging beds to while away the sunny afternoons. Unusally for this part of Tulum there are electrical sockets in the rooms and electrical lighting is available in the evenings until 11.00pm. And if you feel like a change there's a good choice of restaurants within walking distance, and Tulum's town is only a few minutes away by cab. In short, Hemingway is the perfect spot to escape the pressures of day-to-day life and get back to nature in true Mexican style.
