Deseo is very much a unique property. When it first opened its doors it was the talk of the town; nothing else was quite like it. Nowadays there are other minimalist designer hotels in Playa, like its sister hotel Basico, but Deseo was one of the first to challenge the status quo and it still feels special. It oozes style and glamour, and has the knack of making its clients feel a part of that. Deseo manages to achieve a great sense of luxury, whilst at the same time giving you the feel of being at a great beachside chill-out spot. The hotel is just a leisurely two minute stroll from the beach, just two small blocks away.

We would recommend the Balcony rooms or the Suites at Deseo; although the Balcony and Lounge View rooms are essentially the same, the balcony seems to open up the rooms and create much more space. One great advantage of staying at this hotel is its bar on 5th Avenue. This is undoubtedly one of the best in town - it has its own live DJs playing good music, a great atmosphere - and you only have to walk upstairs to get home! This isn't to say that all the rooms are noisy, as the hotel is not directly above the action.

There are a great many little things to watch out for at Deseo; the special touches which give it individuality and charisma. The turn down service is undeniably unique!
