The Hotel Guru Review: Massimiliano Leonardi and Jenifer Howard's latest venture, this heavenly guesthouse opened in 2005 after two years of extensive renovation and, with their two B&Bs in Rome, completes the trio. Hidden behind vast wooden doors, it occupies a beautiful old palazzo. Inside Jennifer's talent as an interior designer is evident: each room is different, each equally stunning. There are fresh flowers in all and honesty bars on every floor. A real home away from home.

Howard's House is a picture perfect village house in a picture perfect Wiltshire village - one which remains almost feudal even today, owned almost entirely by the Keating family. The descendent of the family who sold the village to the Keatings 300 years ago, an American called Tom, is a frequent visitor to sleepy Howard's House.
The draw here, other than the village and quintessial english rural setting, is the homey feel - with just nine rooms, Howard's House has preserved its feeling of a private home. As well as a small, cosy sitting room there's a wonderful south facing garden, for eating out in summer, views of the village church, and a restaurant which attracts diners from all over the county. The hotel is often taken exclusively, both for weddings and shooting parties. Riding and fishing can also be arranged.
The rooms themselves are of a good size and light, with attractive mullioned windows. Top floor rooms have vaulted ceilings. The décor is pretty if plain and a little dated, but the emphasis here is on comfort rather than trend, which keeps rates modest and company congenial and unpretentious. A jewel of a place in wonderful rural surroundings, Howard's House has a loyal repeat following.
Casa Howard is not a hotel. Each Casa is a beautiful private house, whether an apartment, palazzo or farmhouse, which offers personal service with some typical hotel services.
Staying here is similar to staying in a friend’s private house. As guests, you get the keys to the house, you enjoy the original furniture and amenities, and you can feel the atmosphere of the bursting hearth of the town.
Casa Howard (Florence) is a registered property (Residenza d'Epoca), located just 120 metres from the Santa Maria Novella Railway Station and 80 metres from Piazza S. M. Novella.
The hotel has retained all of the original flooring and ceilings, and most works of art and amenities belong to the owner's family in order to fully demonstrate the Casa Howard concept: Very high standard houses aimed to host special people.
