Just a short detour from the road between Margao and Panaji are the Kesarval Springs – waters naturally high in therapeutic minerals, flowing out of the Verna Plateau rock. Secreted within a lush, tropical forest of palms and betel nut trees at the bottom of a gorge, once the home of eagles, these pools and waterfalls only really come to life during the monsoon season, when locals and tourists alike come to relax in the cool waters.
