Listed under Hostels in Davos, Switzerland.
With the word palace incorporated into the name you’d be expecting a bit of extra luxury, but this hostel used to be a health spa so you can expect a little more than that even. Perched 1,600metres above sea level you’re certainly getting the cleanest air, and the belle époque flavour of the genteel traveling classes continues from the air to the half board arrangement not now the norm but very 1920’s.
Private doubles with their own bathrooms are for the old first class train passengers (the hostel is by the end of the funicular) and other arrangements of three, four or six beds are your other less sumptuous options. Most of the bedrooms have balconies but make sure you get one. If you don’t there’s always the sun terraces where the poorly people used to come to recharge their batteries the old fashioned way before rehab.
