Buenos Aires is one of those ‘city that never sleeps’ cities and this hostel is in one of those neighbourhoods that phrase was referring to. The hostel is a couple of old houses knocked through and linked by staircases, hallways and courtyards. The rooms have the high ceilings and large windows of old houses and the recycled building also has a sun terrace and a bar – which is open 24 hours.
Free breakfast and internet access seem to come as hostel standards these days, and Tango also has a communal kitchen and a reading area if the sun terrace with its outdoor showers and barbeque gets too noisy. Every night is movie night if you’re not going out until later and Friday night they have live music. They can also hire you a bike to get around the restaurant and shopping districts of Palermo.
You can choose to sleep in your own room or share with up to six others in mixed and single sex dorms – though this hostel doesn’t really seem like the kind of place where you’d be getting a lot of sleep.
