Well Amsterdam has a reputation to uphold, so staying in a themed fetish room, an exotic room, a Billy the Kid room, the green room, the durex room or a manga room should help you get into character for your stay, no? This hostel has 30 rooms each individually ‘imagined’ by a local artist – but it’s ok – they let you have a look through the ones they have available before they make you choose if you’re not sure what kind of character you want to be in Amsterdam, city of bikes, strong beer, energetic art, canals, sex and legal hash.

Near both the Van Gogh and Sex Museums, this hostel looks pretty central what ever kind of holiday you’re thinking of having.

Rooms sleep between one and eight and all have ensuites.

Breaky is included as is linen and internet access, and you know there’s going to be a bar and pool table, but there’s also a garden overlooking the territory of the red light ladies and a full blown nightclub with live music – so probably not the best choice for a quiet break.
