You’d think getting people to stay in a prison cell would be a hard sell, but that’s what the team behind Hotel Celica have done – taken a former prison and renovated into 20 individually and artistically designed rooms, but they haven’t taken the bars off the windows and doors, which you might think would have been the first renovation to make.
If you don’t fancy a night behind bars there are other accommodation options available, including larger dorms sleeping four, five or twelve, all with their own bathrooms – these are all in what was originally the roof.
Breakfast is included and you get 15mins worth of free internet access when you check in – you can also go on a tour though the whole prison.
