The Slater Mill Historic Site is located in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. The historic mill is next to the Blackstone River. The Slater Mill was the first water-powered cotton spinning mill in North America to use the Arkwright system.

The site offers many different activities such as artifacts, grounds, gallery, library, theater, gift shop, concerts, demonstrations, lectures programs, tours and many more. The site is an important part of the culture of the area because it reflects when farmers and craftsmen wanted to become the industrial leaders of the world.

Here you will experience the life of early America before it became the world power it is today, back when it was a land of promise and dreams.
