Maungapu is the tallest mountain on Aitutaki Island, one of the Cook group. A hike to the 124m crest along The Maungapu Track forged during WW2 will provide panoramic views of Aitutaki Island and its lagoons. On the way down, grab a light snack a la carte by picking a piece of fruit growing on one of the trees on Maungapu‘s slopes.
