Located in Andalusia, Spain’s largest and southern most region, Valderrama has a history of golfing greatness. Designed by architect Robert Trent Jones Senior, known as one of the leading architects of his time, Valderrama’s course is distinct. Each hole has a Professional, Club Championship, Executive and Seniors' tee, as well as a ladies Professional tee and a ladies Club tee. Valderrama was the first club to host the Volvo Masters in 1988, then hosted it every year until 1996 and will again in 2008, 2009 and 2010. The two winds which bless the area, off the mainland in the summer which is extremely hot and the cooler wind from the Mediterranean, add a unique challenge. Even the Practice Ground is also well known for its quality course, and has been described by golfer Nick Faldo as the best in Europe. The best part of being located in the southern part of Spain, other than the amazing scenery, is having the perfect all year roung golfing weather.

Soto Grande

These have to be the best lay outs in Spain, the Old & the New. Soto Grande as they were known before being bought over back in the mid 80's.The Old course is a great test of course management for the the handicap golfer, the New or as it today Valderramma is a course for the scratch golfer and pro's.Can say i would play there if I lived in Spain. Simply the best.
