New Management at the Grenada Golf Club

The Grenada Golf Club, a challenging nine-hole golf course which plays eighteen holes from separate tee boxes was recently take over by Mr. Ian Winsborrow and changes are being made to bring the facilities to a higher standard.

This is an enjoyable holiday course with views of the Caribbean Sea, this picturesque par 67 design boasts an open layout with most holes clearly visible from the clubhouse. A great deal of course management is required to avoid the heavy rough and lateral hazards in getting to the small, elevated, gently sloping greens. A strong wind is also the norm here, testing even the easiest of shots.

The par three, 222 yard 1st hole with out-of-bounds fifteen yards to the left of the green, is only the first of many daunting shots you will face during your round. Our very own “Amen Corner”, beginning at the risk/reward par 5 sixth, can easily derail what may have seemed like a walk in the park. Aim for the right areas on the fairways and keep the ball below the hole and this course will reward you on most holes.

While visiting the beautiful isle of spice this should be on your list of things to do even if its just to relax on the spacious verandah over looking the course and enjoying a cold drink.

Fees are 9 holes USD $28. 18 holes $36

Club rentals are USD $14.

Golf shirts are required no jeans and sneakers are allowed.

The clubhouse is also equipped with free wireless for those of you needing to sneak in some work.

The club is open 7 days a week from 7:am to 9:pm and visitors are always welcome.

A nice, relaxing way to spend an afternoon in Grenada; if one of the young local caddies offers his services, definitely take him up on it--you'll learn a thing or two and make a friend along the way
