Royal County Down Golf Course is in Newcastle, a little holiday town nestling at the feet of the majestic Mountains of Mourne. It is an exhilarating location for a classic links golf course, where the Bay of Dundrum sweeps out into the Irish Sea.
Dating back to 1889, Royal County Down Golf Course is set in a wild and glorious landscape of sand dunes and heather. It's quite a formidable golf course, with many blind shots and hidden hazards and a number of grass-edged bunkers, bumps and borrows.
