Listed under Gardens in Auvergne, France.
The Marqueyssac Gardens were restored in 1997 and have since become the most visited gardens in Périgord. Here, under the influence of blue skies and fresh air, you'll be able to relax- whether by yourself or with good company, while walking along the Dordogne Valley and its chalky cliffs. Choose one of the three paths, all of which lead to the Belevedere- a fabulous balcony 192 meters high and 130 meters above the river, which is where you will truly appreciate the stunning panoramic views of Périgord. Beautiful boxwoods are the most common vegetation, a symbol of the 19th century in which they were planted.
