The Brookgreen Gardens is land converted from four former rice plantations in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. The gardens contain American Sculptures, the Lowcountry Zoo and trails for walking or hiking to see the ecosystem of the area.
In the Lowcountry Zoo you will see such animals as owls, alligators, eagles, hawks, foxes, horses, otters and more.
While at the Brookgreen Gardens, explore inovative garden architecture and horticulture. The land that encompasses the park has many different ecosystems including swamps, salt marshes and sandy ridges.
There are different activities all year round and something is going on in every season in the gardens.
