Called by some the most impressive glacier in the world, the Dachstein Glacier in Austria is certainly breathtaking. It has become one of Austria's biggest tourist attractions, drawing thousands of visitors, mountaineers, and nature-lovers each year from all over the world. There is something for everyone to do here- whether you want to take the Dachstein cable car up the mountain to experience stunning, panoramic views or go for a guided walking tour on the glacier itself. For the more adventurous, there is skiing, spring snow carving, cross country training and glacier hiking.
