You cannot get a true taste for California without tasting the state’s sourdough bread. For an authentic sample, visit Boudin Bakery on San Francisco Wharf. The company has been baking delicious sourdough with the carefully crafted recipe dating back to 1849.

At Boudin Bakery, the flagship location and factory, guests are welcome to tour the sourdough museum, eat in the relaxed Baker’s Hall Bakery & Café, shop in the marketplace, dine in the full-service restaurant or unwind in the Bistro bar. In the museum guests enter historic and interactive exhibits and view the bakery in action through floor-to-ceiling window walls and a glass-walled catwalk.

The bakery’s location is ideal for views of the famous Fisherman’s Wharf, and truly makes any visit a truly authentic California experience. For some of the best views, visit Boudin Bistro or the upper level of Boudin Bakery’s Flagship location where Buena Vista Carneros Tasting partners with Boudin Bakery to offer visitors and locals alike an exceptional wine tasting experience.
