Canada has a contender for the title of Best Octoberfest in North America, and this one has a theme song as well, promising they'll roll out the barrel for you, which seems to be their themed take on pulling out all the stops to make sure you have a good time “no matter who you are”. As well as the song, the K-W Octoberfest also has a couple of stout old mascots in Bavarian dress, in the form of Onkel Hans and Taunt Freida.

The festival includes the traditional Octoberfest sports, German cultural activities, lots of music, fashion, kid sized activities, and of course lots to celebrate when it comes to eating and drinking. They have a free pancake breakfast, a Miss Octoberfest contest, a barrel race, a parade and music spin off events held at the same time called Rocktoberfest and Hip-Hoptoberfest – is there no end to the words you can add fest to the end of!

K-W Octoberfest also claims the title, and tagline, of 'Canada's Greatest Bavarian Festival'. It's held over the Thanksgiving weekend and runs though until the following Saturday.
