There are many great paragliding spots in Morocco, but the area surrounding Tiznit has around 40 spots ranging from Good to Excellent and suitable for pilots with variying flight hours.

The rolling Sahara dunes around the ancient fortified town of Tiznit, a short distance inland from the Atlantic coastline of Morocco's south provide an excellent setting for newer pilots looking to develop their skills in a challenging and interesting environment. The main sites are all long ridges, similar to what you will find in the UK, but with flat plateaus that make take off easy and the challenge of the desert thermals to spice things up a bit. More experienced pilots can try for some of the red quartz tors something like a smaller set of Dolomites. While some of the paragliding sites in Morocco are overly touristy this area still feels culturally authentic and the remoteness and quiet of the place helps keep you focused. Though of course it's near the ocean if you're interested in trying out some watersports while you're in the area.

There are plenty of other activities to keep non gliding partners interested and this is still a good place to absorb the culture of the Berber people.
