The area around Gistredo in Spain’s Leon Province is surrounded by mountains covered in take off points. The real beauty of the area is that it doesn’t really matter what the wind conditions look like you can find a launch, so unless the weather is dire if you’re able to travel you can spend every day airborne. The best thermal conditions are around Gistredo but the launch heights are all different so you may have excellent flight times one day and short flights the next. The main take off is on top of a hill with neatly lined crops. It a rural scene different to that you get over a lot of Spain. This is probably a good spot for mid level pilots and those bumping up their flight hours, but not for non flying partners, so come in a paragliding group and hire cars.
