The waters surrounding the Cape Verde Islands boast some of the best game fishing in the world. There is a rich variety of species including blue and white marlin, albacore, darade coryphene (dorado), shark, wahoo, and bonito fish, but marlin is the most desirable catch. The presence of certain species is seasonal, but there are fish to catch year-round.
