Utah's awesome Fisher Towers have served as the backdrop for many Hollywood Westerns, including Wagon Master, Against A Crooked Sky, The Comancheros, and Rio Conchos. A hiking trail leads directly beneath the gigantic pinnacles that seem to stab at the sky. The three main towers are beautifully fluted and completely vertical. They are surrounded by many smaller towers and by rock “hoodoos” that assume fantastical forms. Extending away from the towers is a fractured landscape of mushroom-shaped rocks, with the Castle Towers beyond also a familiar sight to fans of Hollywood Westerns.
