Gird your loins for an incredible month-long programme (from June to July) of internationally renowned music, theatre and dance acts at one of Europe's youngest but nevertheless Switzerland's biggest performing arts events, the Zurich Festival. Spread across several venues, the festival centres around the magnificent Zurich Opera House where celebratory performances of the world's best-known operas are given. Other venues include the Tonhalle and the Schauspielhaus, two of Zurich's most prestigious, which host performances of internationally well-loved and brand new plays and musical pieces.
