Every summer, the Smithsonian Institute hosts their annual folklife festival in Washington DC. Located on the National Mall, the festival features a country and a part of American life by displaying crafts, foods and culture of those repected areas. Admission is free and it's a great way to spend a day in DC. The festival is usually the end of June to the beginning of July.
