Not just a expression of appreciation though thoughtful tasting and gorging, Mandal's Shellfish Festival has shellfish related entertainment as well as eating events. The annual shrimp peeling competition is a hotly contested contest of skill and technique the locals take very seriously.
Funfairs, buskers, talent competitions, musical performances and dancing 'till late top off the occasion for which Norwegians from miles around converge on this beautiful bit of coastline.
