Attracting around 150,000 people a year, Pukkelpop is an annual three day music festival featuring over 200 artists.  The festival began in 1985, as a one day event but has since grown popular and fattened up to three days.  It was founded, and is still organized, by the Humanistic Youth of Leopoldsburg, which is led by politician Chokri Mahassine.  In 2008, Metallica and The Killers headlined the event.
