Marrakech Popular Arts Festival

Listed under Festivals in Marrakech, Morocco.

The Marrakech Popular Arts Festival is a fairly eclectic assortment of events held in Marrakech’s outdoor spaces and courtyards, filing the air with the sounds of Berber music and the swirl of silks of the belly dancers. The festivities last for a week – the city’s buildings are decked out as outdoor venues, especially the El Badi Palace – and entertainment is brought in from all over the country for the pleasure of locals and the many visitors who time their trip to coincide with the festival.
