This is a festa well marked on the local’s calendar of must-see events in Catalonia but hardly known outside. It’s amazing because it still has unspoilt simplicity such as passing tractors delivering their grape harvest (this is the heart of DO Penedes wine country) as the dragons breath fire and human castles wow the locals. You feel like a local and the castellers (human castles) in Vilafranca are the best in Catalonia year on year.
